Quick Setup Guide for Microsoft Outlook
System Requirements:
Microsoft Outlook 2000, or
Microsoft Outlook 2002, or
Microsoft Outlook 2003
First, make Outlook your Default mail program. You can test Outlook's operation by sending an e-mail message to yourself. If the message goes out and a few minutes later comes in to Outlook then proceed with the following:
WITH OUTLOOK RUNNING AND THE CARLOT2000 INSTALL CD IN PLACE:
1) Click "Tools" on top toolbar of the Outlook window.
2) Select "Forms" from the drop down list.
3) Select "Choose Form"
4) In the "Look in:" drop down window, select "User Templates in File System"
5) Again in "Look in" click browse… for the folder "Outlook Templates" one the Install CD in your CD ROM Drive. If done correctly the three template files will be listed in the big space.
6) From the list of the forms choose "MyForm" (or "Registration Request" or "Request for Service") and click "Open"
7. The Form itself will appear in Outlook. On the window for this form select "Tools" from the top toolbar.
8. Choose "Forms" from the drop down list.
9. Choose "Publish Form As"; in Look In: from the drop down window and choose Inbox; and type in
"MyForm" (without the quote marks)(or “RegRequest” or “ServiceForm”). The software will look for that exact name, so be sure it is typed exactly as that.
10) Choose Publish ; File; Close; Yes - Save Changes. This puts this template in Inbox. Now the form must be put in the "Drafts" folder. Highlight "Inbox" on the folders list to the left of your Outlook window. On the toolbar at the top, click "Actions" and choose the form
"MyForm" (or RegRequest" or "ServiceForm"). The selected form should then appear. At the top of the form's window, click "File" and from the drop down list, click "Copy to Folder." From the folder list that comes up now choose "Drafts."
11) Repeat 1 thru 10 for the other two forms and for 9) type in "RegRequest" and
"ServiceForm" respectively.
12) Done. On the main Outlook form you can click "Actions" and all three forms should be listed at the bottom of the pull down menu. On the folder list to the left you should now see "Drafts (3)."
These three forms must not be removed from the Drafts folder. Should one or more "disappear" you can put it/them back as described above.
